Melanie Sobash, principal of Melanie Sobash Studios, has been in the design field for the past 20 years. After finishing her studies at The Parsons School of Design in New York City, she accepted a design position with the firm of Timothy Macdonald, Inc, New York, where she worked on many prestigious projects.

After many years with Mr. Macdonald, she was asked to join the design firm of Michael LaRocca, Ltd, New York, and traveled for many of the clients that Mr. LaRocca attracted. While at both firms several of Ms. Sobash's projects were published in Architectural Digest. Ms. Sobash held the position of Senior Designer before leaving to become a private consultant to clients in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey as well as Design Director of a fine home furnishing boutique in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

An understated elegant sophistication is the style Ms. Sobash can be described as creating. Within the genre she has exposed clients to eclecticism through the combination of clean lines, antiques, transitional furnishings, refined color, and decorative objects from around the world.

Ms. Sobash has a Public Relations/Communications/Marketing degree from The Pennsylvania State University.

Ms. Sobash makes her home in Ramsey, New Jersey.
